Ironic Clowns
Clowns are ironic. You realize that?They typically are happy-looking and "fun-loving," but they scare the shit out of most kids! (They always did me.) Maybe it's because our eyes see the painted-on smiles while our brains also see their natural mouths, which AREN'T smiling. Same goes for their eyes! It's like a dual personality syndrome, only in makeup!
