Ironies at Work

Isn't it ironic that when you clearly identify a need for your business or department you typically can't get the money for it?

You're asked to go through a study to find out the best alternative or solution for your department. Then when the results clearly indicate the necessary path, you get shot down with, "We don't have the money for that. Can't you find a solution that's cheaper?"

Cheaper than MY company, you mean?

If I'm going to go through the trouble of researching the problem and talking to other companies that have had to make the same decisions, why are my results ignored? That's one of my biggest work ironies.
